Meditation also contributes to innovation and visioning. In a survey by the Institute of Mindful Leadership, 93% of leaders reported that mindfulness training helped them create space for innovation, and nearly 70% said it helped them think strategically ( Institute for Mindful Leadership Survey ).
Steve Jobs was a propagator of the power of meditation, it gave him space in his head for new connections and big ideas.
“If you just sit down and observe, you'll see how restless your mind is,” Jobs told his biographer, Walter Isaacson. "If you try to calm it down, it only gets worse, but over time it calms down, and when it does, there's room to hear more subtle things - that's when your intuition starts to bloom and you see things clearer. and see more clearly. You are in the now. Your mind slows down and you see a vast expanse in the moment. You see so much more than you could see before. It takes discipline; you have to practice it."
